EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
South Ogden Animal Services will be enforcing the updated ordinance wording on leashes as follows:
A LEASH OR LEAD: A physical line connected between a person and an animal used for leading or restraining the animal. Remote collars and similar wireless devices are not leashes or leads.

Citations will be given to pet owners who have dogs off a physical leash or lead anywhere in the city besides the off-leash dog park.  Off-leash dog park located at 4101 Palmer Ave. and will open when weather permits.
